Outstanding Transportation Person Award

In an effort to recognize Outstanding Pupil Transportation Persons in our state the Washington Association for Pupil Transportation has established the Outstanding Transportation Person Award.

The WAPT Board of Directors asks your Chapter to consider all of the people in your area and select a person that has made an outstanding contribution to safe and efficient pupil transportation this school year.

An Outstanding Transportation Person Certificate will be awarded to a recipient from each nominating ESD Chapter at this year’s summer conference. The WAPT Board of Directors encourages you to have your nominee available for the presentation ceremony.

Your nominee should “Promote and foster the highest degree of safety and efficiency in the transportation of school children” in your ESD Chapter. Please be aware that current membership in WAPT is no longer required for this recognition in the hope that you will reach out to the most deserving person.
