The Autodesk® AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2016 Productivity Pack 3provides a collection of new capabilities for Autodesk® AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2016 users.

This readme contains the latest information regarding the installation and use of this productivity pack. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document before you apply this productivity pack to your product. For reference, you should save this document to your hard drive or print a copy.

Key Features of this Productivity Pack

Autodesk® AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2016 Productivity Pack 3 consists of the following features:

  1. Traverse Editor -Create points, lines, and curves representing traverse legs and sideshots using a broad set of COGO input and editing tools. The traverse can be used to generate polylines, COGO points, and a .TRV2 traverse file.Note that this new tool provides significant improvements over the COGO Editor that was included in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Productivity Pack 1.
  2. Traverse Adjustment -Perform traverse adjustment and generate reports using Compass, Transit, Crandall, and Grant Line adjustment methods. Update COGO points and traverse geometry within the drawing.
  3. Subassemblies – A new library of subassemblies is included that you can integrate into your projects. All of this content was created in Autodesk Subassembly Composer and can be edited and expanded to meet your individual or organizational needs. Not that there are separate metric and imperial libraries and detailed Help that you can access to learn about the behavior of each subassembly.

General Installation Information

As you prepare to install this extension, keep the following in mind:

Language Version / There is one global installation of AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Productivity Pack 3 that includes all languages. The installer will automatically match the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Productivity Pack 3 language with your AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 language.
Administrative Privileges / In order to apply this service pack, you must have administrative privileges to install and uninstall products.
Apply Service Packs / Autodesk strongly encourages all AutoCAD Civil 3D users to download and apply service packs. This productivity pack requires that AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 SP2 (or later) be installed. It will NOT install on earlier versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D. The AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Service Pack 2 can be downloaded here.
Uninstall / This productivity pack can be uninstalled by selecting the applicable extension in Control Panel. All files and command access options including menus will be removed.
Access to commands / After installation, a new collection of tools will be included in the AutoCAD Civil 3D Toolbox.

Online Help / Online Help is available for the Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Productivity Pack 3.

Installation

This productivity can be installed using the Autodesk Desktop App or via download on Accounts.Autodesk.com (Updates and Add-ons).

Autodesk Desktop App is installed with all Autodesk applications and provides you with the ability to get alerts on software updates without disrupting your workflow. This is the easiest way to add AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Productivity Pack 3 to your AutoCAD Civil 3D installation.

You can also download the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Productivity Pack 3 installation from your accounts.autodesk.com. Simply log in, select AutoCAD Civil 3D in the list of products and select AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Productivity Pack 3 from the list of Updates and Add-ons.

Network Deployment

AutoCAD Civil 3D 2016 Product Pack 3 can be added to a deployment image using the following steps:

1.Launch the installation program

  1. C3D_2016_PROD_PACK_3_ENGLISH_64.exe

2.This will create the following folder that includes the full installation that will be used as part of your deployment

  1. C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_AutoCAD_C3D_2016_Productivity_Pack3

3.Add the 2016PP3.msi (located in the following folder) to your deployment:

  1. C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_AutoCAD_C3D_2016_Productivity_Pack3\x64\2016PP3
