Minutes of meeting of Anti-ragging committee of Home Science held on 5.8.2016 at College of Home Science, Udaipur at 4.00 p.m. in the Auditorium.

The following members were present:-

The committee member Dr.Vishakha Bansal, Assoc.Prof.could not attend the

meetingdue to other academic assignment and two other members i.e. Mrs.Ashu Sethi, Asstt.

Librarian and Sh. A.L.Banjara, S.O., were on leave.

The following strategies were planned & decided to be implemented in the college :

  1. All the members of Anti-ragging committee, as well as other staff members of the College will be requested to vigil the menace of ragging in out of the College specially in the beginning of the academic session. Further sub-committees wereformulated to have regular &close vigilance of the specific areas mentioned against their names and report to the convener, ragging committee.

  1. A general body meeting with all the senior students (both UG & PG) will be held shortly in the college auditorium to warn them against menace of ragging and its consequences.
  2. Anti-ragging slogan “Ragging is strictly prohibited” & anti-ragging posters will be displayed on the walls, notice boards and corridors of the college, classrooms, library, common room, auditorium, hostels, canteen etc. to warn the senior students.
  3. An undertaking will be taken from every senior student as per the provision of anti-ragging verdict by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India where it will be clearly and specifically mentioned that if she is found to be indulged in any act of ragging, serious disciplinary action will be taken against her without any mercy.
  4. An undertaking will be taken from the parents of every senior student with a special mention that their ward should not be found to be indulged in any act of ragging and also to behave more responsibly and be supportive in their dealing with juniors.
  5. A warning note be displayed on the walls & notice boards of our institution specifically mentioning about the strict enforcement of legal & penal provisions to prevent the practice of ragging as per the Hon’ble supreme court.
  6. A meeting with juniors be held in the college to address this serious issue of ragging. They will also be suggested to inform without hesitation to the Dean / committee members, it they are being ragged by their seniors,
  7. All the students of college of Home Science with their parents or guardian will be instructed to read the Anti-ragging instructions, mentioned in the Prospectus issued to them at the time of admission in this college.
  8. Every employee of the college including teaching & non-teaching staff members, contract labour employed in the premises such as canteen operator will also be instructed to report promptly to the convener or members of anti-ragging committee any case of ragging which comes to their notice.
  9. An effort will also be made to deliver SMS to all the sr. students to control the ragging. The SMS was formulated as “Ragging is an offence & disciplinary action will be taken against the student found involved in ragging. Dean, CHSc, MPUAT, Udaipur”.
