Granite Niche

Regulations

Interments & Memorials

  1. The Granite Niche is an individual above-ground chamber that will accommodate up to four sets of cremated remains.
  2. The Granite Niche remains the property of the North East Surrey Crematorium Board throughout the lease period, with the exception of the memorial tablet, which becomes the property and responsibility of the lease holder. The Board cannot be held liable for theft or damage to the memorial tablet.
  3. The lease agreement allows up to four sets of cremated remains to be placed in the Niche, at the request of the lease holder. The placing of the cremated remains and / or sealing of the Niche with the memorial tablet may be witnessed by the applicant.
  4. The owner shall be entirely responsible for the upkeep of the garden area of the Niche. The owner is permitted to plant nothing other than annual bedding plants within the Niche plot. The owner shall ensure that all such plants are removed from the plot at the end of the flowering season. The planting of trees and shrubs and the placement offencing is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Any such items will be removed without notice.
  1. The placement of personal items on top of the Niche is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will be removed without notice.
  1. The Board will remove any unauthorised items and hold them for one month for collection, after which they will be disposedof.
  2. Ashes must be interred in the steel casket supplied with the Niche.
  3. The Niches will be allocated in numerical order by the Board.
  4. The scattering of ashes shall not be permitted on any individual Niche.
  5. In addition to above-mentioned regulations the owner is subject to North East Surrey Crematorium Board regulations.

I the undersigned have read and fully understand the above regulations agreeing to the lease of a Granite Niche in the North East Surrey Board Crematorium.
