2017 Lilac Shootout Rules
1) All games will be played as follows: Use of All NCAA Women’s Basketball Rules.
2) Games will consist of two (2) sixteen minute halves.
Running clock in the 2nd half if both coaches agree to it.

***OT will be 2 minutes, if tied after OT then games are sudden victory
3) Regulation size (28.5) basketball will be used at all levels.
4) Halftime max. Time is three (3) minutes. A five (5) minute warm-up will be given, unless games are behind schedule. Officials control the time.
5) A total of three (3) timeouts per game will be allowed by each team. One (1) additional for OT (no carry over).
6) The clock will stop on all whistle stoppages.
7) A player will be disqualified after committing a 6th personal foul (technical fouls are included).
8) Team bonus will commence on the tenth (10th) team foul double bonus.
9) The 10 second backcourt violation rule will be enforced. No shot clock.
10) Each team will provide a scorekeeper & home team (1st team listed) will provide a clock operator (when needed).
11) Each team is responsible for their own warm-up and game balls.
12) If two technical fouls are received by a coach/player, the MUST sit out next game (outside building). If a parent gets a technical, they will be asked to leave the facility. If it is the last game for the team they are excused from the remainder of the game. If any one team receives 4 technical’s, the entire team is excused for the remainder of the tournament without a refund.
13) All teams are required to be at the court 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. ***teams are expected to play 5 minutes after the end of the previous game (i.e. 5 minute warm-up). This means that if a game can be started early, it will be.
14) Grace period for forfeiture will be 5 minutes after the end of the warm-up period.
15) Rochester Lilac Shootout is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
16) All overtime games start with a jump ball.
17) ALL fouls in the last minute of the games will be 1 and 1, if game within 10 pts.
Tie breaker rules:
a. Head to Head
b. Points Accumulated ( +15 – 15 points) for wins and losses
c. Few points allowed in first 3 games
d. Coin flip (forfeits receive a 15 point differential and NOT be calculated least allowed or most scored.
