Job Description – Sessional Hours Administrator
Job Title: Home-Start Colchester Sessional Administrator
£9.00 per hour
Employer: Home-Start Colchester
Hours of work: 0 hour contract
Responsible to: The Home-Start Scheme Manager
Candidates need to show evidence of the following:

Purpose of the job:
· To provide administrative support to the Home-Start Colchester scheme and Board of Trustees, as appropriate and agreed.
Main Responsibilities:
· General day to day office duties, photocopying, diary management, filing and mailing etc.
· Ensuring good communication with all scheme stakeholders and ensuring good practice in equality, diversity and fairness.
· Inputting data to the Home-Start monitoring and evaluation online system, as directed by the Scheme Manager.
· Provide all recruitment administration support.
· Manage the new-joiner process from offer letter through to joining instructions and induction paper work.
· Distributing agendas and reports for future meetings.
· Assisting with hospitality for visitors to the office.
· Assisting the scheme manager to maintain efficient, accurate and confidential records, including collection and collation of statistics
· Preparing reports, minutes of meetings and publicity material.
· Supporting events and meetings as required.
· Maintaining supplies of stationery and office sundries.
· Complying with all Home-Start policies and procedures.
Experience:
· Experience of working on excel databases and word
· Providing administration support or training to offer administration support.
Qualifications/skills:
· Good standard of education of Maths and English qualifications.
· Relevant secretarial/IT, administrative training.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Fully IT literate. Microsoft office experience including Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
· Database experience.
· Ability to set up new quality proceders to improve office management.
Other:
· To work in accordance to the Home-Start Quality Assurance standards.
· To take part in Home-Start Colchester’s team meetings, events and training as necessary.
· To contribute to the development and implementation of the overall ethos/work/aims of Home-Start Colchester.
· To work in accordance with Home-Start Colchester policies, particularly in relation to equal opportunities bullying and harassment, health & safety and child protection.
· Level of DBS (Criminal Records Check) needed: enhanced
