T-Ball and Softball Development

The aim of this program is for our kids to have fun and learn a few skills in a non competitive environment. This is a development program that will teach players to catch, throw, hit and introduce the rules of play….FUNdamentals!

T-Ball for 3-6 year olds (May 4th – June 29th)

Time:Mondays from 6pm – 7pm (not Victoria day)

Fields: Trend-Arlington neighbourhood: off Cramer/Canfield

Softball for 7-14 year olds (May 2- June 27)

Time:Saturday mornings 10-noon

Fields:Trend-Arlington neighbourood: at the big diamond

close to the T/A community building off Bellman Dr.

Requirements:

Each child will require a baseball/softball glove. We have helmets, but the participants could bring their own if they wish.

Volunteers needed to help coach and bring equipment!

Are you a parent or older sibling that can help out with T-Ball or Softball age? We need extra hands to help out. This would be a great opportunity for high school students looking for volunteer hours. If you can toss a ball, sometimes catch it, give high fives and smile, you are qualified to help!

Thanks to our local schools for facilitating distribution of this to provide opportunities for activity for our children. TACA has independent insurance that follows the proper guidelines with the City of Ottawa.

I/we know that the participation in any sport including T-Ball and softball may result in injuries and protective equipment does not prevent all injuries to players, and do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmlessthe Trend-Arlington Community Association, Softball Canada, the organizers, sponsors, supervisors, participants, and persons transporting my/our child to and from activities from any claim arising out of any injury to my/our child whether the result of negligence or any other cause.
I/we permit the free use of my/our child's/ward's name, picture and statistics in a media and multimedia vehicles including radio, television,internet, newspaper, and all other forms of broadcast, telecast and written account of PLL events.
A service charge of $25 will apply to NSF cheques. Late registrations may be subject to a $15 late fee if a T-shirt needs to be ordered.
