About the Apprenticeship / The events and festival apprentice will work alongside the creative and production teams, helping bridge the gap between ideas and practice through research. The apprentice will have the opportunity to participate in the whole process of staging an artist performance, from initial discussions through to audience evaluation.
- The apprentice will take part in creative decisions on which artists to present, what format events should take and which locations should be visited.
- The apprentice will support the production team in making sure that they have access to practical information to book artists, venues, hotels and transport.
- The apprentice will ensure that our social media team, and any external PR agency, has the correct briefs and timetable, etc.
- The apprentice will have opportunities to take part in theevent and festival delivery, as well as gathering audience feedback, press coverage and statistic.
The events and festival apprentice will work on Punch's upcoming 2017/8 BASS festival,
themed around Africa and set to run over Black History Month. They will also be involved at various
levels in planning for all of our upcoming tours and artist showcases, including our international work.
- The apprentice will have access to trade publications, statistics and the media to gain knowledge which will support the punch team's understanding of the artists and genres we are working with.
- The apprentice will use social media and peer networks to build and expand the punch team's knowledge of young and emerging artists to enable us tokeep targeting growth areas and the local artistic community.
- The apprentice will have access and training to use punch and industry standard databases and systems to explore and evaluate the impact of these events on audiences.

Weekly Wage: / £288 Per week
15,000 Per Annum
Working Week: / Monday – Friday with some evening and weekend work as necessary to fulfil the job role.
Future prospects: / Upon completion of the Apprenticeship and evaluation by the company’s supervisors, the successful candidate may be offered a job at the end of the Apprenticeship.

About the Candidate
Skills required: / Administration, Organisation, use of own initiative, problem solving and able to provide solutions, ability to present and report i.e. ideas/concepts, ability to multi-task, work on own and as part of a team. Communication and Interpersonal skills. Some sales and marketing experience would be an added bonus.
Personal Qualities: / Energy, self-motivation, positive, able to network and enthusiasm.
Qualifications Required: / Minimum qualifications are English, Maths and ICT GSCE’s level A-C or equivalent.
Graduates can apply but a degree is not necessary nor will it give you an advantage. Common sense, a good attitude, and a demonstrable passion for building a career in the music industry are important.

About the training
