18. Bed ways are in very good condition! Saddle cross slide ways have been re-scraped and are

excellent! Headstock rebuilt some time ago by Monarch. New clutch installed 8 years ago.

19. Spindle RPM could be raised by installing an AC Inverter drive or by increasing the motor pulley

diameter, or by going to a higher rpm motor.

20. Machine is in much nicer condition than it would appear from photo. Paint is original. The lathe

came out of a very pristine tool room and is being sold only due to a lack of space for new CNC

production machinery. The lathe is holding .0005 in 6” on a chucked piece which is new tolerance.

Will hold better between centers. Machine has been run in all speeds and feeds and sounds great!
