Conduct & Rules

Berowra Six-A-Side

Before the season begins:

-You must have your entire team financial before you can play the first game.

-You will need 8-12 registered and financial players.

-At least 4 of these must be female

-All players must be over 16.

-If you are playing for more than one team, you must be financial with both teams.

During the season:

-Games are 20 minute halves.

-No unregistered or unfinancial players can take the field.(If this rule is not followed teams will firstly, lose the points from that game. If the rule is broken for a second time the team will be removed from the competition)

-Teams can borrow a maximum of two players from opposing teams, however, the total of the team borrowing players must not exceed 6.

-No slide tackles. (As this is a social competition, slide tackles will not be tolerated and will lead to a 10min timeout in the first instance followed by dismissal from the field in the second instance)

-Soccer boots must not be worn. Only soft rubber shoes e.g. sneakers, touch footy boots etc.

-Shin pads must be worn at all times as no player will be covered by insurance if they are not wearing shin pads. This is to be enforced by referees.

-In order to maintain some consistency in refereeing, all referees must stand next to the sideline and pay attention to the game at all times. Failure for any team to do this will result in a warning followed by a loss of 3 points.

-For the mixed competition, teams must have 3 women on the field at all times.

-If a female is in goal a free kick is awarded for any shots that go over waist height.

-Other than there being no offside all other rules are as per full field football.

Thank you and enjoy the season
