Application for Doctoral Research SupportFunds
Due to budget limitations, funding will be initially capped at £200 per student per academic year. If the cost of your conference visit or other research activity exceeds £200 you may be able to apply towards the end of the financial year (June/July) for additional support, should there be surplus funds available. Therefore we recommend that students retain all the receipts from their trips in case further reimbursement is possible. Information on other sources of financial support for research students can be found on the website:

Please submit the completed form to Laura Vellacott (), and ask your supervisor to e-mail Laura a statement of support for your application.Your application will be considered by the Director of Doctoral Studies for English and we aim to let you know whether your request has been successful within 2 weeks of you submitting the application.
