Clint Standley appealed to TASO about his lifetime ban from Dallas Football Officials Association. TASO upheld the lifetime ban.

President Rory Bernard reported that Grady Dale appealed the DFOA Board decision denying him the chance to be a crew chief for the 2017-2018 seasons due to missing the mandatory crew chief training sessions. The appeal was reviewed and upheld by TASO Executive Director Michael Fitch and President of TASO Football Bill Theodore.

David Look and Loy Wylie will replace Smith Holder and Ty Mitchell as Satellite Secretaries this season effective immediately.

DFOA Board approved the appointment of Mark Chitwood as DFOA treasurer. As treasurer Mark reports that better banking options exist with more branch locations and reduced fees. A motion was made to change our bank accounts over to Chase Bank. The motion carried.

Effective this season we will charge schools $125, for spring scrimmages as outlined by TASO.

TASO will limit the number of TASO Rules Clinics in a given area therefore we will split the opportunity of hosting a clinic every other year with the Ft. Worth chapter.

The Banquet Committee is searching for a new venue for the 2017 banquet.

Ty Mitchell, Joe deGraauw and Rick McGee are to present software related options for conducting the coaches draft at the next board meeting.

The DFOA Board went into executive session .

Kevin Schmidt has 7-man training scheduled on Monday nights from April 3 through May 8th with April 24th being an exception. The DFOA Regional Clinic will be held on June 24th at Frisco Preston Ridge Campus and the clinic fee is expected to be $50 per attendee.
