TRYOUT DATES/TIMES:
At Cheer Omega, we believe that each child has strengths that may not always be showcased in a group evaluation setting. For this reason, we are holding private evaluations for our 2015-2016 season. This gives us time to get to know each athlete and their parents. Evaluations will be conducted during the week of November 2-7th with November 7th being a drop in evaluation date for our Half Season Teams.Evaluations are conducted with a Cheer Omega staff member and then a brief parent meeting with each family will follow. We believe in having an open line of communication with families, and that communication will begin as soon as your child begins his or her journey with us. Cheer Omega was created to be a place for EVERY athlete to realize and reach their true potential. Email us at to be added to our half season email list!

FAQ’S
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Tuition is per month. This cost does not include: uniform, warm-ups, travel costs, Summit/The One fees (extraneous team shirts, bows, etc. are not included as well). We are proud to offer a very competitive All Star Cheerleading rate and encourage you to ask about any discounts that may benefit your family. For our families with multiple children involved in the Cheer Omega All Star Program, you will receive FREE Tuition for the first sibling, and ½ off any additional siblings (All discounts are applied after the first full paid cheerleader). Omega is also pleased to offer FREE Male tuition. Non-Discounted monthly tuition costs will be $75 per month and monthly assessment costs – including but not limited to, coaching fees, competition fees, practice wear, etc. – will vary depending on the outside fees that are due each month, but will range in between $50-$95. A detailed cost summary for each month can be found on the next page. **All cheerleaders are responsible for paying assessments**
Q: Who are the coaches?
A: Our entire coaching staff is certified through USASF. Other certifications include but are not limited to USA-Gymnastics Professional and Safety Certifications, CPR Certifications, and AACCA Certifications. All of our coaches have also been highly trained on the best spotting techniques for all levels to ensure each child’s safety. We are privileged to have one of the most experienced and knowledgeable group of coaches in the country. All of our coaches believe strongly in the Cheer Omega mission and are excited to create the best competition experience for your cheerleader.
Q: What competitions do we attend?
A: Competition Schedule is located at the back of this packet. Please note that competitions may be added or removed.
Q: How do you select teams?
A: We select teams to be the most competitive in each level. We base these placements on physical
ability (jumps, stunts, tumble, motions, etc.), as well as past cheer experience. We do not believe in pushing kids too fast for skills or a level that they are not ready for, as this can result in injury. It is very important to the Omega Staff to create a safe atmosphere where each cheerleader can reach their top potential at the correct pace. Although the final decision among placements is up to coaches’ discretion, we have listed the following tumbling requirements for each of the USASF levels, so families can be informed as to your child’s correct tumbling level. Stunting level and experience is also taken into account when making team selections.
- USASF Level 1 – Forward roll, Backward Roll, Handstand, Cartwheel, Roundoff, Back Walkover, Front Walkover (Bonus Skill- Standing BHS)
- USASF Level 2 – Standing Back Handspring , Back Walkover BHS, Round off Back Handspring, Round off series Back Handsprings, Front Handspring, Dive Roll (Bonus skill – Standing two BHS)

Hotel Accommodations:
Cheer Omega suggests that all Cheerleaders and coaches use the same accommodations at all out of town competitions. We will communicate with all athletes and parents as to which hotel for each event will be designated as the “Team Hotel” for the weekend. We understand that there are certain circumstances where families will need to stay at other accommodations – for example: if you have family in the area. However, we will periodically have team meetings at the Omega Team Hotel and it will be your responsibility to ensure that your athlete(s) attend these meetings.
Pre-Competition Meetings:
Competition parent meetings may be held during “BLACKOUT WEEK”. These weeks are the week immediately prior to any competition. We will go over all of the information that parents and athletes need to know for the upcoming event. We will also let you know of any team hotel meetings and, if the venue allows, where our program meeting spot will be at the event. In the case that we are unable to predetermine a meet spot for any competition, CheerOmega will have a large meeting sign, banner, or tent; so that parents can easily find our program once they reach the competition venue. If a meeting is not held prior to a particular event, a pre-competition email will be sent out with all of the necessary information for the weekend.
Roles and Responsibilities:
