POSITION PURPOSE

Based in Bangkok, the position will support and work with the other regional product and operations departments in our other destinations for a MICE objective.

This role covers various areas of the business with a focus on MICE product and services.

One area of the role is focused on driving product development and MICE packages throughout the Buffalo Tours portfolio. The Regional Operations Executive - MICE will be responsible for pre- development research and benchmarking, driving product creation and testing, and reviewing product success and guest satisfaction for Buffalo Tours’ MICE product range. They will be instrumental in overseeing the internal product database system and how to upload all MICE products and services ensuring all products are accessible for MICE Sales teams and well-presented ready for client proposals.

Another element of the role will be working with the in destination operations and purchasing departments ensuring we have the best possible product available for our clients.

Negotiation, time management and the ability to multitask various projects at the same time is a must for the applicant. Candidates should be self-starters, methodical in process management and innovative thought leaders with a passion to deliver high standards.

Accountabilities / Key Performance Indicators
Research, Development and Benchmarking of MICE products / ·  Carry out comprehensive research for new and existing leisure products that can be adapted for MICE market
·  Research and compile 360 degree report on all new proposed packages and tour options, prior to development by product team
·  Ensure product development is completed on time which matches experience and price demands of our MICE clients
·  Lead the creation of tour ‘story’ with guides, to ensure new product is scripted correctly.
System management / ·  Ensure new products are loaded in the BRS, accurately and within guidelines set by PM.
·  Work with Product team members throughout the group to update BRS with new and adapted MICE product.
·  Coordinate with purchasing / branch managers for correct data uploading
·  Manage the templates with BRS and ensure the correspond with MICE department brand guidelines
Event logistics / ·  Work in collaboration with the in destination operational teams to ensure clear operational plans and running orders
·  Create guidelines, manuals and scripts for all operational staff in support of MICE events
·  Monitor performance of hotels and suppliers in assigned destinations and report back to Regional MICE Manager on any actions needed
Reporting / ·  Compile monthly product reports tracking group satisfaction and product revenue for all MICE product range.
·  Ensure new product is achieving targets.
·  Monitor MICE product to ensure it is functioning correctly. Work closely with operations team and sales teams for product management.

PerSON specificationS

Knowledge

·  Male/Female Thai National between 25 – 35 years old

·  Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in MICE sales within the industry

·  University graduate or relevant Diploma

·  Personal and professional travel experience in Indochina and Thailand is an asset

·  Knowledge of hotels brands and destinations in the Buffalo Tours portfolio

·  Excellent negotiation skills

·  High attention to details and preciseness in maintaining records and databases

·  Able to prioritize tasks and work to deadlines

·  Good command of English in writing, listening & reading.

·  Must be proficient using technology and working with Microsoft software applications
