Where the learning will occur: in the staff room at Business Inc
Resources needed: morning tea supplies, staff orders, wall mounted urn, recording sheet, laminated A4 size sheet with pictures of the steps called ‘Safe use of the urn’
Teaching procedure:
After Emily has prepared the cups with tea or coffee as per staff orders, she will read through the ‘Safe use of the urn’ sheetvisual prompt.
The support worker will show the correct procedure for using the urn for the first four cupsmodeling.
Emily will carry out the procedure for the last cup and will be praised for her effortverbal reinforcement.
The support worker will closely monitor Emily filling the cups to ensure safety.
The support worker will ask Emily how confident she felt in doing the taskfeedback.
