Goal: Students will be independent learners. They will interact thoughtfully with text, data, number and word problems, visuals, and phenomena, on their own and with one another, to build new knowledge, skills and understanding.

§  for your dedication to rewriting the curriculum map and revising the way we are teaching history to include inquiry-based learning and time for current topics that engage students.
Members of content teams should meet in the designated room.
Please review the curriculum map guidelines that I emailed to you. Please edit the guidelines to reflect ideas the team would like to move forward. If someone on your team has a gmail account, this can be done in google docs and will eliminate the need to email me individually.
Please provide me with your gmail address, if you have one. Please take a couple of minutes during meeting time to sign up for one, if you don’t already have a gmail account.
In content teams identify key questions and topics that reflect the ''big ideas" that every student should understand and can be included in district assessments.
1.  Narrow down the topics for Q1 that will be taught for this year due to PBLs and model 21st century classrooms.
2.  Identify key questions.
3.  Align the assessments.
4.  Identify common assessments.
5.  Reach consensus on the above.
6.  Revise and update skill section - use district strategies (content/response notes, Think/write/pair/share, visual discoveries, APPARTS, 3-Minute Pause, Get the Gist, Save the Last Word, etc)
7.  Include links to favorite websites and links to wikipages
8.  Divide remaining work for Quarter 1 amongst Content members.
9.  Use template, save in a word document, send to me for feedback before uploading.
10.  Revise pacing guide to reflect changes
11.  Begin work on Quarter 2…Q3…Q4
12.  Additional time will be provided
