Description of course: / Have you ever wondered who's singing those sweet, spring songs from high above? Come and join us and discover how to identify our captivating British Birds.
Which birds have you already seen?
Together we'll explore and study common birds found in our gardens. We will be making and creating feeding stations and birds cakes, as well as constructing our own natural nests.
Let’s spread our wings to uncover and discover our feathered friends.

Description of course: / A journey stick is a type of physical story map. People from cultures all around the world have used journey sticks for hundreds of years to help them connect with the landscape and to aid their memories of a journey.
We will embark on a journey around the school grounds, looking for items to add to our journey sticks. These might be physical, visual, or something we hear, smell or feel.
When we get back to the classroom we will share what we found and use our ideas to create a unique piece of creative writing.

Please bring a coat in case of bad weather.

Description of course: / Have you ever thought that you might like to visit a chocolate factory?Carry out tastings of the finest chocolate money can buy?
Create your own indulgent treat?
This is an experience right up your street!!
We will be embarking on a chocolate themed workshop looking at the most famous Roald Dahl story written, loved by children all over the world; creating our own tempting treats and designing and making packaging and adverts to sell our products. We hope by the end of the session to have products that are appealing, of the finest quality that Mr Wonka the most famous chocolatier and confectioner would be proud to put his name to.
We will be tasting different chocolate, cooking with ingredients such as butter, eggs flour, nuts, peanut butter etc.
If you are allergic to any of these ingredients then this may not be the workshop for you.

Please bring your own clean cooking apron.

Description of course: / A sports day including 5 different events. An excellent opportunity to meet students from other schools and at the same time show off the skills you already have and to learn some new ones.
Students will be split up into teams and will try to accumulate points at each event which we will tally up at the end of the 5 events.
Prizes and awards will be awarded to the top three teams.

Students will need a PE kit, suitable trainers and a drink.

Description of course: / Have you ever seen anybody speaking using their hands? Well, this is your chance to learn how to use this language so that you can speak without using your voice.
You will learn the alphabet on your fingers, how to sign your name and names of your family and friends and have a go at a sign language word search!
It’s a challenge but fun! Have a go, you’ll be happy you did.

Description of course: / The morning will consist of an understanding of what curiosity is, finding out about whatwe are curious about and what we can investigate in order to satisfy our curiosity! As a scientist, be prepared to face new challenges, work co-operativelyin a team, whilst working with determination and perseverance. We will challenge the laws of scienceand maybe even achieve the impossible, including how to make stones float.
