Thank you for showing interest in becoming a Facilitator for the Elon Challenge Course! This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of facilitation and help organizations go beyond their perceived boundaries to recognize group and individual strengths. A facilitator’s role is more than just taking a group out on the ropes course to have fun; it extends through the growth and learning groups experience during their time on the course.
Facilitator Job Description and Responsibilities
· Attend all facilitator meetings and training sessions
· Keep certifications up-to-date (CPR and First Aid)
· Be available on most weekends and some weekday afternoons during spring and fall semesters (majority of groups participate during these times)
· Complete shadowing and assisted facilitating to achieve full facilitator status
· Prepare for groups by contacting advisors, reviewing itineraries, and discussing scenarios with the Director and/or Coordinator
· Arrive at the Challenge Course to set up 30 minutes before the group
· Possible summer employment
· Facilitators will be compensated for their work with the Challenge Course

Please return this application to the Center for Leadership by 4pm on Friday, February 17 and sign up for an interview time; interviews will be conducted on February 20 through February 24 during designated time slots. IV. INTERVIEW PREPARATION
· Once you complete your application, please return it to the Leadership Office, Moseley 224 in the folder on the Office Assistants desk labeled “Challenge Course Facilitator Applications.”
· There will also be an Interview Time sheet; you will need to sign up during one of the selected times for an interview. Be sure to bring your calendar. If you are unable to attend any of the selected times, please contact us as soon as possible.
