HONOR GUARD
The United States Air Force base honor guard program was designed to establish well-trained and highly professional guardsmen to represent the finest military traditions of discipline, appearance and competence. The Niagara Falls Honor Guard is the embodiment of the highest military standards and professionalism Niagara Falls ARB has to offer. The Honor Guard performs a vast range of ceremonies and special services including military funeral honors change of commands, retirement ceremonies and color guards. The Niagara Falls Wing Commander takes the duties of the Honor Guard very seriously; therefore we recruit and train the best airmen the wing has to offer. Honor Guard members uphold the highest military standards and professionalism because they are direct representatives of the United States Air Force and Niagara ARB both on and off duty.
For funeral honors the applicant must complete a five-day training course before acceptance onto the Honor Guard. During the course the applicant will belong exclusively to the Honor Guard and is excused from their duty section until graduation. Members agree to perform Honor Guard duties 2 days a month. Members must alsomeet established guidelines in AFI 40-502, The Weight and Body Fat Management Program, and AFI 36-2903, Dress and personal Appearance of Air Force Personnel. Members must also be medically qualified.

I have reviewed the applicants Personnel Information File and the member does not have any current or pending control roster, disciplinary or civil actions, have an article 15 within the last year and meets Air Force body fat, weight management and physical fitness standards. I will notify the Honor Guard Superintendent of any control roster, disciplinary or civil action against this individual.
