Purpose

The purpose of this Bylaw is to amend Section 301 of the Bylaw Enforcement Officer Bylaw No. 8081, by making the Member In Charge Policing Services Division or his designate as the Chief Bylaw Enforcement Officer for the City of Edmonton.

Readings

Bylaw No. 11606 is ready for Three (3) Readings and is authorized under the Municipal Government Act. The majority vote of Council on all three readings is required to pass this Bylaw.

If Council wishes to give three readings during a single meeting, then prior to moving Third Reading, Council must unanimously agree “That Bylaw No. 11606 be considered for Third Reading”.

Advertising and Signing

Advertising is not required.

Position of Department

Edmonton Police Service supports this Bylaw.

A Bylaw to Amend No. 8081, the Bylaw Enforcement Officer Bylaw

The Municipal Council of the City of Edmonton, duly assembled, enacts as follows:

That Section 301 is repealed and the following Section 301 is substituted:

301.The Member In Charge Policing Services Division of the Edmonton Police Service or his designate shall be the Chief Bylaw Enforcement Officer.
