Presidents Report
  • All Star Jerseys – quoting price from Billings
  • 10/11 would receive jerseys only
  • Yalesville/Forestville to receive better jerseys
  • Increase in price with jersey, socks and hats, in excess of $2K
  • Ordering must take place ASAP
  • Vote unanimous to approve
  • Seniors will have new shirts and hats ordered ASAP
  • AllStar process –
  • Announcement can be made by June 1st
  • Any child must fill out a form with dates that are unavailable, strict guidelines no form no ballot
  • 12/11/10 – all the players will vote for their age group only (9 players) = 1 vote
  • All 7 Majors coaches vote top 9 in each age category
  • Remaining 3-5 spots are selected by allstar team manager with insight from the other majors coaches
  • Be sure to respect the process
  • Evaluation Date June 3rd for kids interested in 10/yalesville/Forestville
  • 12 year old team should selected and announced June 1st
District Meeting Notes
  • All Waivers must be in by 5/27
  • Player Agent to check on district eligibility for potential
  • June 5th at west district meeting
  • June 11th Bristol mandatory District managers and coaches attend
  • June 20th5-9pm at Nucci’s in Bristol - affidavit night – all necessary paperwork must be presented and approved
  • District managers must read all rules associated with managing a district team
  • Rule changes –
  • Residency changes
  • School enrollment forms must be date prior to October 2016
  • Patches must be ironed or sewn on (cannot play without a patch on)
  • League President can manage a team for districts
  • Practicing as of June 1st but be fair to other kids still remaining in the tournament
  • Tie breaker procedure has changed – run ratio scenario over standard 6 inning games
  • Forestville July 15-31
  • Yalesville end of June to mid July
  • Bator last 2 weeks of July
  • 12 year old district games at Ed Walsh
  • Bat rule – now managers responsible for bat check
  • No big barrels are allowed at all in the dugout
  • If a player gets up with an illegal bat, manager and player gets ejected from the game but play stands
  • One foot in the box - player cannot step out of the box at all with be considered a strike
  • Stealing of signs – manager will be ejected from the game
  • Throwing of equipment is an automatic ejection of a player
  • Special pinch runner can only be done a total of twice in a game
  • Pool:
  • 10 – North (west, yalesville, North, NB, ?)
  • 11 – Plainville (south, mcabe, north, edgewood, west, Farmington)
  • 12 – Ed Walsh (North, Farmington, NB, Edgewood, edwalsh, yaleville)
  • Make sure to show up with baseballs – league can be fined $20
  • Make up – either all majors teams play 18 each and move playoffs
