Minutes of Flinders Founders meeting held on Wednesday 02 July 2014 at Select Timber Offices starting at 6.00pm.
Present: Alicia Inglis (AI), Joel Bates (JB), Elliott Moran (EM), George Norton (GN), Katie Garrard (KG), Margaret Wright (MW)
Mel Bristow (MB) and Joe Gott (JAG) were late due to work
Apologies: Amy Bristow, Leah Bristow at work, Molly Hodgson rehearsing Cats
Absent: Nico Viner has left the group – a text was received from his mother – they are moving away.

Matters arising from minutes / If members say they will be at an event they MUST be there – it puts too much pressure on those who do turn up. If FF say they will do something we must not let people down.
Jane King has agreed to help with money for new PA system.
Secretary’s report
MW / Lincolnshire Environmental Awards – judging took place – we did not make the final but have received a letter congratulating us and saying we will get a Highly Commended Certificate.
FF have been asked to read at Matthew flinders Memorial Service on Friday 11 July – who would like to? / KG, GN, volunteered to read. They were given the text. MW to contact Mr Taylor & Mr Gray to check it’s OK. Arrangements - meet MW at 11.40 in reception.
Treasurers Report
MB / Expenses paid to
AB - £51.70 - Starbucks Grant meeting.

£600 promised from Jane King for Party in the Park
Public Relations report
MH absent / Next Village magazine deadline is 20 July.
GN offered to help MH with Public Relations until AGM in September when he would like to stand as Public Relations Officer. / MH to ensure articles are with Clare by 20th July
Grants and Funding / Awards for All application has been started – can be submitted any time – there is a 10 week turnaround. / MW and JAG to meet and complete
Teen Park / Terrible lately - litter, fires, damage (bin near teen shelter lid thrown in dyke). When MW visited bins were overflowing – they must be changed if they are nearly full.
Discussion about solutions. Agreed to invite police, fire prevention and anyone else to next meeting to find solutions.
Rota – agreed to leave it as it is but MW will help GN on Saturday mornings. ALL members to have keys so that litter picks can be done MORE frequently – whenever passing by.
Motor bikes – discussion about solution – agreed to ask Matthew Cole to install staggered double barrier.
Notice board – Andisigns needs to meet with MW in Teen Park to discuss new one. / MW to invite people
ALL to visit park more often
GN to arrange key cutting (3 of each plus 1 extra bolt key)
MW get a quote for next meeting
MW to arrange meeting with Andisigns
Bloom and Notice board
GN / Agreed to order 1500x1000 charcoal grey outdoor lockable noticeboard from ESPO.
Bob from TCHS will put it up on wall beside his gate in main yard. / MW to order it.
GN to liaise with Bob about putting it up
Party in the Park Planning / Checklist was finally gone through and updated
Issues still to be resolved are –
