Brighton Shares The Harvest 2016 Seed Exchange

Saturday, February 27, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Adams County Extension Office Lobby, 9755 Henderson Road, Brighton

Free and open to the public; RSVP not required

In support of our mission to put more fresh produce on more tables in Brighton, we’re hosting a seed exchange for gardeners in the Brighton community.
You are encouraged to bring seeds to share, but it is not a requirement; we have seeds to give away. There will be no seed sales; all seeds will be given/shared for free. /

If you bring seeds to share, please observe the following guidelines:

  • Seeds may be in the original packaging, opened or not. If opened, please tape shut to avoid spillage.
  • If not in the original packaging, please label to the best of your ability, if known:
  • Species (required), such as beets, peppers, zucchini, etc.
  • Variety, such as Detroit Red Beets, Poblano Peppers, etc.
  • Year seeds were packaged, brand, organic, heirloom.
  • Please do not bring seeds for plants that are poisonous.
  • Fruit, vegetable, herb, and flower seeds are all welcome!

Exchanging seeds with other gardeners can be a great way to learn about a new variety, try growing something you haven’t grown before, and meet other people who are interested in gardening in the Brighton area.

If you have any questions, please contact Linda Young, Executive Director, at r 720-301-0949.

GARDEN CLASS: The Adams County Extension office is offering a garden class on the same day at the same location, from 10 – 12:15, “Greenhouses for the Homeowner and other Season Extending Tactics”. The class is $10, and you must register. Contact Eric Hammond at 303-637-8016 or to register for the class. You do not need to register for the class in order to attend the Seed Exchange.
