Howdy!!
I sure had a great time at our official class birthday party. If you missed it, I am sure you have already heard what a great time you missed, so I won’t rub any more salt in the wounds…However, one thing that was kicked around that weekend was a ski trip out to Red Lodge Mountain Resort in Montana where I work.
I have recently transferred from the Ski School (after 30+ years of teaching skiing) to Sales & Reservations, so I spent the last two days putting together various packages, which I thought would interest you. I’m sure you’ll find our prices are very attractive, and we are a full-scale ski resort! Feel free to go on the Internet and look us over: In the meantime, you can check out the vital statistics I’ve included to the right ------
The prices for the packages are based on adults (19-69). Additional discounts apply on some packages for juniors (13-18) and children (6-12). Kids under 6 and seniors over 69 ski free!!! Daycare for toddlers 6 mos.- 4 yrs. old and the Wrangler Ski Program (3-6 yrs. old) are also available. In addition, guest houses are also an option, ranging in price from $120 to $400 per night with a 2 night minimum. Sleeping capacity varies from 4-15 people. I can tailor any package to meet your individual requirements, so just let me know what you’d like. None of the packages require a minimum, so any number of individuals/families can work together to arrange a trip.
You can call me at 800-444-8977 or email me at . Be sure to put ATTN: KATHE MENSIK/LHS RESERVATION in the subject line of your email.
At this time, we do not have any airline partner packages, so you are free to search the Internet for your own best deal. Destination airports are Billings, MT (Delta, NW, and United) and Cody, WY (Delta and United); both airports are about an hour away. 4WD rental cars are available at the airports. Let me know what your rental deal is and maybe I can beat it with our package from Thrifty. (Note: If you decide to drive, be sure to take I-94; it’s 150 miles shorter from IL due to the curvature of the earth although it will look longer on a map—plus you’ll gain 1 hour as we are in MST.)
One last thought: Yellowstone Park is just 30 miles south as the crow flies (several hours driving, though.) It is beautiful and totally uncrowded in the winter. If you’re into snowmobiling, this may be your last year to use them in the Park as it is going to be legislated out! Rentals are available in Cooke City and West Yellowstone, so you may want to take enough time to go to Yellowstone as well. Even if you’re not a snowmobiler, you can cross-country ski or take the snowcoach through the Park and see such wonders as Old Faithful and Mammoth Hot Springs which are quite incredible in the winter!!!
I hope I’ve intrigued you with a great winter vacation idea. I have included a calendar of Red Lodge Mountain Resort events for you to look through to assist you in your planning. If there is anything else you need to ask, do not hesitate to get a hold of me.
