The Digital Team
BD Network is looking for a bright, enthusiastic Junior LAMP Digital Developer to join their busy development team. Based in Shoreditch, we are a full service agency developing cutting-edge digital solutions.
As a member of the development team, the Junior Digital Developer will be a vital part of the brainstorming and creative process working with other Developers, UX Designers and Strategy thinkers in the business to deliver world class digital solutions for some of the biggest and best companies in the world.
Overview
As a member of the development team, the Junior Web Developer will be a vital part of the brainstorming and creative process working with Developers, UX Designers and Strategy thinkers in the business to deliver world class digital solutions for some of the biggest and best companies in the world. You will work alongside clients and customers to combine your love for technology with innovative thinking and gain a strong understanding of what makes businesses and their customers tick to help deliver the best digital experiences. You will work closely with the design, social and user experience teams and be able to work as the solo developer on projects.
Job Description
To provide superior service to the business by being:
1. Proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript or JQuery
2. Familiar with IOS or Android mobile development whether native Objective C/Java or with PhoneGap, Titanium or other mobile app development framework
3. Comfortable with at least one core scripted or compiled language
(e.g. PHP, C#, Java, Ruby, Python, etc)
4. Able to adapt and learn quickly, and hit the ground running
5. Able to contribute to brainstorming ideas, keen to get involved in the creative process
6. Passionate about coding and about technology

1. Some experience in a commercial environment – 1-2 years experience would be preferred, but bright, enthusiastic individuals able to pick things up quickly are also welcomed
2. Knowledge or experience with MVC, HTML5, CSS3 and modern web concepts
3. Silverstripe, Wordpress experience or other Open Source CMS
4. Familiarity with Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
