Shakopee Booster Club Minutes

Present: Matt Busch, Rachel Aus, Stef Pavlicek, Mary Blaschko, Amy Sullivan, Jim Weiler, Traci Peterson, Annie Leadstrom & Jen Kilkelly
Dollars for Scholars Update:
Casey Schleper and Lexie Haider are thisyears recipients. Awards ceremony is tomorrow and Jen Kilkelly will present.
Sponsor Letters:
Mary passed out sample letters to be proofed. It was approved. She said she does not need assistance stuffing packets and she will mail them out in June. Special thanks to Annie for the updated Chamber of Commerce list.
Spiritwear:
2016 Warm ups approved. Practice Tshirts will be black and red dry fit. The incentive program was revamped to be more generous to players due to a surplus in the budget from last year. Girls will earn shoes with only a sale of 10 cards, warm up jacket with 15 and pants with 20. A “groutfit” is the prize for 25 cards sold (a grey sweatshirt and grey sweatpants.)
Lions Tourney:
Nearly all slots are filled and it will proceed as planned.
Fundraising:
We are looking into adding a fundraising page on website that would accept cash donations. This way, family and friends who live outside of the Shakopee area could still support the girls (since the card is for local establishments).
Star Saver Cards:
Brainstormed new ideas for the card: Smashburger, 5 guys, O’Briens, & Mr. Pig Stuff. Remove Perkins, Speed Dog
9th Grade Meeting:
It was suggested that the 9th grade parents arrive at the Parent Meeting 15 minutes early for a brief introduction to the evening.
New Assignments:
Grace Sanders has accepted a Booster paid coaching position.
Tracey Peterson is taking over as Secretary next year and will be shadowing
this year.
Rachel Aus is taking over Dig Pink next year and will shadow Annie this year with Suzie Fratzke???
Retreat Weekend:
There will be no speaker this year on Friday of tryout week. We brainstormed ideas of a fun/team bonding activity. Pedicures or massages were suggested. We will revisit next meeting.
