Job Title: Marketing Assistant

Salary: £20k pro rata

Holidays: 20 days + 6 fixed and 6 floating public holidays. Pro rata

Hours of work: 21 hours

However there will sometimes be a requirement for evening or weekend work for which

Time-Off-In-Lieu system operates.

Responsible to: Finance & Administration Manager

Overview: The primary purpose of this role is to further assist the development of OPAL, East Dunbartonshire’s information service for adults. It will build the brand, profile and influence of OPAL and assist in practical ways the uptake of OPAL to potential service users. OPAL is a partnership between Ceartas, East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action, East Dunbartonshire Citizen Advice Bureau, Carers Link East Dunbartonshire.
In addition the post will assist the delivery of media & marketing work to raise awareness of Ceartas services including Shine Partnership activities to enable a greater uptake of advocacy.

Task Description

1.  To develop a Media and Communications strategy & action plan for OPAL consistent with its agreed outcomes

2.  To develop and assist the delivery of a Media and Communications Action Plan for OPAL

3.  To work with other professionals and key stakeholders to produce suitable materials for OPAL.

4.  To assist in updating Ceartas’ promotional materials, website and social media as required

5.  To assist in developing the organisation’s e bulletin and Member’s newsletter

6.  To assist in updating Shine Partnership promotional materials and supporting events as required

7.  To participate in, Board meetings and other meetings as directed by the management team.

8.  To attend training sessions as appropriate to the post.

9.  In conjunction with the management team ensure that the appropriate systems are in place to monitor and review the impact of services delivered

10.  Any other task that may be reasonably requested of the post.
