Barre Sportsman’s Club

Club Policy

1. Two non-members to every member allowed on rifle range, (associate member-spouse is considered a full member, except for voting and can bring up to two quests).

2. All members shall carry on their person their membership cards while on club grounds.

3. Bartenders have complete discretion to refrain from serving people they consider to be unruly or under the influence and may order them off club grounds.

4. Hall Rental: (Amended, November 2000 meeting)

a. Member in good standing, which means a member who has attended 3 mandatory meetings, attended 1 paid function in the last 12 months and has contributed 10 club work hours, can rent the club for $25.00 for a family function. (A function of more than 50 people must be reviewed by the Board.)

b. For those who choose not to be a member in good standing, as described above, can rent the club for $100.00

c. Non-members can not rent the club.

d. No club member will rent the club to make a profit.

e. A refundable $100.00 deposit is required for all club rentals. The club must be left in a clean, orderly fashion in order for the deposit to be refunded.

f. A Club Rental Form must be filled out and reviewed by the Board of Directors prior to the event.

g. Bartenders have the opportunity to receive tips in lieu of club work hours during private functions only.

5. Members who rent the club must attend the event or be subject to expulsion.

6. No one may bring alcoholic beverages onto club grounds.

7. Club members are responsible for cleaning up after themselves whenever using club grounds.

8. Warning sign/red flag shall be displayed when trap field or sporting clays course is in use.

9. No alcoholic bverages are allowed on the rifle range, trap field, sporting clays course, or archery course.

10. Club membership closes when the 150 member cap is reached.

  1. Any person caught using drugs on club grounds is subject to immediate dismissal at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
  2. Use of foul or obscene language on club grounds is prohibited.
  3. Members who wish to rent the club or borrow club property must contact the President for approval and sign for any loaned equipment. The Vice President will act as an alternate in the event the President is unavailable.
  4. New members must wait one year before being issued a key for the clubhouse.
  5. Keys will be given out by the club President only. Keys to be issued at the monthly meetings. Keys should be signed for. Master key sets to be held by the following: President, Treasurer, Committee Chairs and Club Manager.
