Term 2 Draft Research Paper Requirements

The Revision Process
(1) You need to sign up for an after school meeting(s) for student/teacher paper review.
· If you earned a grade in the A or B range on your first draft, it is NOT required that you meet me. It is optional only.
· If you earned a grade in the C range on your first draft , you MUST meet me once.
· If you earned a grade in the D range on your first draft , you MUST meet me twice.
(2) Each time you meet with me after school, you must bring your original draft AND a revision draft in process for me to check. I will not begin the revision process with you.
The Final Draft
(1). Three unchanged errors in any rubric category will result in the paper being returned to the
writer with five points deducted from the original grade.
(2) No more than 3 BLACKLISTED WORDS will be allowed per page. Any violation of that rule
will count as “one unchanged error”-see above.
(3) Your final draft will include TWO vocabulary words from any weekly lists of your choice.
These two words must be highlighted.
(4) You will upload your final draft to tutrnitin.com before class meets on November 24, 2015.
(4) On November 24, you will hand in your already printed, stapled, and uploaded paper in the
following order: final draft rubric, term 2 final draft with works cited page, term 1 draft
rubric with my markings on it, and your term 1 draft with the works cited page.
