{Cross Cultural Missions}

GOALS
What do you want your child to accomplish or understand? (related to learning outcomes) / The main goal of this great course is to prepare students to participate in the Great Commission. As a result, this course is designed to give students first hand experience on the Mission Field for the purpose of spreading and demonstrating the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In addition students will gain experience and knowledge of various cultures and societies and by learning and blessing other cultures will gain an appreciation for Canada and the freedoms we possess. It is desired as well that students bring their specific skills in such areas as Drama, Construction, Computer Technology, Food Service and Gospel Presentation and use these for the benefit for benefit of the people and cultures they are sent to.

What activities are you planning to do to accomplish your goals? / By entering various Mission Fields and engaging with other people and cultures the above goals will be met. Specific activities might include drama presentations, digging wells and water systems, church/house construction as well as revival meetings.

EVALUATION/
ASSESSMENT
How will we check to see if your student has accomplished the goals? / Students will outline their Mission trip in writing and follow up with a number of assessable materials such as: film or video footage, report of various activities, specific evidence of time spent on the Mission field, cultural activities and projects. PP presentations, essays on cultural awareness, list of pertinent reading materials, verbal group presentations, impact of leadership on mission trip and future plans outlined for global missions. Please indicate the names and phone numbers of your immediate supervisors as they will assist with the assessment.

RESOURCES
What materials/resources are you going to use to accomplish your goals? / There will be a variety of resources listed here depending on the Mission field that will be visited. Resources will include various culturally pertinent books and information, meeting with those who have gone to the Mission field, Atlas of the world, various meetings and prayer times, materials for mission construction and many more that are specific to my mission are……………..
