POST:Publicity Apprentice(36.25 hours) (one day in college)

JOB PURPOSE:To help createproactive publicity services for

Burnley Mechanics,Arts and Events.

RESPONSIBLE TO:Marketing Programme Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR:None

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. To play a proactive part in publicisingthe Mechanics services, events and initiatives. Assisting in the planning and implementation of publicity campaignsforall activities ensuring that we maintain current audiences and develop new ones.
  1. To support the creation ofpublicity materials, and publications for the whole Mechanics business, such as; press releases, direct mail letters,brochurecopy, e-shots, newspaper adverts,with a particular focus on websites and social media platforms.
  1. To work on the box office, selling tickets and updating the customer database
  1. To assist with targeted promotion campaigns, information distribution and the organisation of relevant promotional activities.
  1. To ensure online communications are current, dynamic and reflective of the quality offer we have at the Mechanics.
  1. To support and help implement market research initiatives, data collection and customer communication. Utilising the box office database to support this work.
  1. To help collate and maintain external promoters files and correspondence.
  1. To undertake such other duties as may be assigned from time to time commensurate with the grading and particular skills of the post holder.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
