Non-Discrimination Policy Statement

The general public, students, parents, employees, and potential employees of the Laurel County Schools are hereby notified that the Laurel County School System does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex/gender, age, religion or disability in admission to its programs, services, or activities, in access to them, in treatment of individuals, or in any aspect of their operations. The Laurel County School System also does not discriminate in its hiring or employment practices in any activities as set forth in compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations.

The Laurel County School System offers the following career and technical education programs for all students regardless of race, color, national origin, including those with limited English proficiency, sex or disability in grades 9-12: Agricultural Education, Business & Marketing Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Technology Education, Health Sciences, Industrial Maintenance Technology, PLTW Engineering, and PLTW Biomedical Sciences. The following dual credit career and technical courses are available to all students in grades 11-12 who are least sixteen years of age, regardless of race, color, national origin, including those with limited English proficiency, sex or disability: Auto Body, Auto Technology, Carpentry, Health Sciences, Medical Information Technology, Computer Information Technology, Business Management, Early Childhood Development, Information Technology, Welding, and Heating and Air Conditioning.
