Maamaw Wiichiiwaywin
A Traditional Crafting Circle for parents/caregivers who are looking to increase cultural knowledge to pass on to their children. Parents learn new parenting strategies and develop cultural skills through crafts. Some of the activities include making moccasins, medicine wheels and tobacco pouches. Community presentations from other agencies and Elder’s for traditional teachings are part of this weekly program that starts Monday April 3rd from 11:00 to 3:00 at the Friendship Centre. Lunch is provided. Contact Karen Williams for information and to register if child care is needed.
Little Echos
A culturally appropriate musical literacy program for families and young children that provides health promotion activities which encourages song and creative movement. Each weekly session will include finger plays, songs, thematic activities, guest speakers and resources, starting Tuesday April 4th from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Sherbooke School Best Start Hub. (110 Sherbrooke St.)
Binoogiin Song
Congratulations to all the families who were blessed with babies this past year! Binoogiin (baby) Song is a fun postnatal program for you and your baby (under one year of age). Now that the weather is warming up, come out and learn new songs to sing with your little one. Encourage your child’s early language development, learn how to make nutritious baby food from scratch, and meet other parents! Guest speakers, crafts, and resource sharing are part of this weekly program that starts Thursday April 6thfrom 10:00 to 12:00 at the Algonquin School Best Start Hub.(160 Algonquin Ave S.)
Free Family Swimming at Complex
Only have the weekend free for programs? Feel free to drop in with your family for free Family Swimat the Canada Games Complex every Saturday; get your passes anytime between 1:00 and 3:00 and stay for the day!

In Our Footsteps
Take a journey with us and explore traditional Anishnawbe ways and values through storytelling, crafts, and play. This Parents ‘n Tot’s program is based on the Seven Grandfather Teachings. In Our Footsteps will take place from 10:00 to 12:00 every Wednesday at Our Lady of Charity School Best Start Hub (370 County Blvd), starting April 5th Snack is provided and no registration is required…just drop in!
Leaders in Learning
Every Tuesday at the Windsor St. Boys & Girls clubjoin us for a fun after school program from 4:00 to 5:00p.m. Children will take part in traditional activities and games. Snacks and drinks are provided.
