Lab for CHEM 1408 Introductory Chemistry

B. Lab Coat and goggles must be worn in the lab at all times.
IV. Evaluation
Lab Grade is consisting of :
A Lab. Report( Workshop)
B. Mid-term Exam
C. Final Exam
D. Note: Lab grades will be incorporated into CHEM 1408 with 10% percentage
E. There will be no make-up labs.
a. Missing lab without approved reason will result in a “0” on both the quiz and lab report for the particular experiment on the day of absence.
b. Lab reports will be counted only if you attended the lab.
i. Lab reports are turned in on a group basis.
ii. Reports are due on the day of experiment. No late turn-in will be accepted unless advance arrangement is made with the instructor. You also need to inform your TA for your absence in advance or as soon as possible. Each one of you is responsible for making sure your teammate turn in the reports.
iii. Academic honesty: Materials (written or otherwise) submitted to fulfill academic requirements must represent a student’s own efforts. Any act of academic dishonesty attempted by a UTEP student is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Academic dishonesty is prohibited and is considered a violation of the UTEP Handbook of Operating Procedures. It includes, but is not limited to, cheating, plagiarism, and collusion. Violations will be taken seriously and will be referred to the Dean of Students Office for possible disciplinary action. Students may be suspended or expelled from UTEP for such actions.
