Your database has been moved to our new datacenter in Boston. Please use to access the new datacenter. Your Blackbaud Application Hosting and software login credentials will remain the same.

Please review the following changes:

Major Changes – Additional information about the migration

  • The Citrix Online Plug-in -Web will need to be updated to version 11.2 or better
  • The URL to log in to Blackbaud Application Hosting has changed to
  • The URL to access the Files folder has changed to
  • The new Data Center is fully PCI Compliant eliminating the need for a separate Credit Card Processing icon
  • Your databases will be updated to the latest patch of The Raiser’s Edge 7.91

Getting Started – Post migration date

Logging in

  1. Advise all users to browse to the new URL,
  2. Enter your Blackbaud Application Hosting credentials to access the Blackbaud Application Web Portal
  3. Click on The Raiser’s Edge Icon to launch the application
  4. Enter your Raiser’s Edge credentials and proceed to work as normal

Files folder

  1. From the Blackbaud Application Web Portal select the Content tab
  2. Click on the Files icon to launch the WS_FTP application
  3. Or skip steps 1-2 and go directly to the Files folder login screen by browsing to
  4. Enter your Blackbaud Application Hosting credentials
  5. In the Enter /SiteID field, type your Site ID and Click Go Note: Make sure to leave the "/" in the field so your site ID should look like /30592 (Ivy Tech site ID). The site ID will need to be entered in the remote site field each time the Content icon is run.
  6. Use the buttons at the top to manage and navigate through your organization's Files folder

Alternative to the above Files Folder Option: Filezilla

This option has been tested and may be preferable to the Blackbaud Content Portal. Filezilla will need to be downloaded to the local machine from the URL below:

  1. Download FileZilla and install on local machine
  2. In the Hostname field, enter "files.blackbaudhosting.com"
  3. In the Username field, enter the same username used to log into the Hosting Metaframe
  4. In the Password field, enter the same password used to log into the Hosting Metaframe
  5. In the Port field, enter "22"
  6. Click the "Quickconnect" button
  7. Once connected, in the Remote Site field, enter your Site ID after the " / " and hit enter. Ivy Tech’s site ID is 30592.
  8. To save the settings once the RE file folders are shown, choose Bookmarks and Add Bookmark. Enter a name for the Bookmark.
  9. When Filezilla is started the next time, choose the to reconnect to the server and the Ivy Tech file folders.

Errors in RE when doing certain functions:

Errors are being received by some users when adding media, and other types of functions. The error reads:

This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.

In most cases, the function DID perform, and we are receiving the error anyway. Click OK, and verify that the function did complete (media file added, etc.).

Transmittal Changes in Saving as Action:

Accessing a contribution transmittal is the same. However, saving the transmittal as an action is slightly different. Raiser’s Edge is now running Microsoft 2007. In order to Save as an Action, choose the Add-Ins Menu and the Save as an Action button will appear as well as the Return to RE button. Proceed as normal to save the action on the constituent’s record.

Adding Media to a Constituent:

You may now add Word documents (.docx) as media files to a constituent record.
