Visitors to the cemetery for service
Existing control measure /
- ALL visitors to cemetery to wear non-slip sensible footwear, keep to the main paths were possible.
- On morning of event FODC will place markers in CWWG which are to have poppies placed on them, Visual check of grave – any concerns to be reported to Blackburn B. C. immediately
- FODC members to wear ID badges
- Cones in cemetery entrance to make area as disable parking.
- Distribute clear maps and photograph packs will be given to each leader, advised to follow route marked
- Cross of Sacrifice to be used as First Aid station, Emergency contact point for all

- Advise visitors,where possible,to park at Lark St and walk towards the Cross of Sacrifice
- Visitors advised that all dogs to be on leads in cemetery and to clean up after them.
- Each school party leader is responsible for their own pupils follow their own schools risk assessment for visits
- Visitors to sign in and out of event
- Health & Safety warnings read out to visitors prior to service.

- Park in main entrance of cemetery (except disable access) but use Lark Street entrance and walk to Cross of Sacrifice (meeting point)
- Lean or touch any memorial

- Ask any FODC members direction if unsure of routes
- Wear appropriate non slip footwear
- Keep to main paths where possible – uneven, steep & slippy in areas please look where you are placing your feet. Beware of Dog faeces
- Take care when leaving the main footpaths. Beware ground uneven and with hidden dips and low monuments, perturbing metalwork
- Make a visual check of the area before placing any poppies on the graves. Inform JE of any concerns, broken glass, needles immediately.
