Workshop Lesson Learning Objectives/Goals/Essential Understandings:
Lean how to use a drawing app and an augmented reality app on the iPad.
Create art with an iPad, procreate app and Aurasma app

iPad, stylus, Aurasma app and procreate app
Motivation: (Suggestions for involving students, previous learning, videos, examples, etc.)
Using YouTube 5 minute videos to model the 2 programs.
Procedure: (Step-by-step instructions or outline of workshop)
1. Explain the programs
2. Watch a video showing how to use the apps
3. Participants will draw themselves with procreate app after taking a picture of themselves.
4. Watch a video about Aurasma.
5. Participants create augmented reality with Aurasma.
Assessment and/or Evaluation of Learning:
(Examples of rubrics, pre-tests/post-tests/critiques format, evaluation forms and/or sample questions teachers may ask their students when evaluating student work, prompts for student writing about their artwork and learning, etc.)
Students will upload their Artwork to Artsonia, their digital portfolio and write about what they created in the artist statement box.
Extensions: (Follow-up lessons, connections to the performing arts, and other core subjects)
Students will use procreate to complete digital drawings for the entire school year and do their weekly sketch assignments in procreate.
Adaptions or Modifications for Students with Special Needs:
Students will work in pairs and peer teachers will help students that need help.
You may also send photos, diagrams, etc., to be posted with your lesson plans. Please make sure to name the image or file with your name, 2017CAEAWorkshop.

Participants in this workshop will learn how to create a drawing on an iPad with Procreate tools & layers and then if there is time will create an "Aura" with their drawing and use Aurasma app to create augmented reality. (In English when you focus on your drawing a video will play.)
- Participants should download Aurasma and Procreate apps before the workshop.
- Also have a photo saved on your iPad that you want to draw with layers or you can take apicture of yourself with the iPad.
