To Kill a Mockingbird

“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view . . . until you climb into his skin and walk around in it” (Lee 30).

Task:Create a newspaper reflecting the culture of a small Southern town and the United States during the 1930s.

The contents will include:

  1. A cover story about the Tom Robinson case
  2. Biography of Atticus Finch
  3. Biography of the Ewell Family
  4. Two articles that reflect national news of the period
  5. Articles reflecting small town rural life (one per person)
  6. An editorial page (one editorial per person)
  7. A sports page(one article per person)
  8. An entertainment page (one article per person)
  9. Advertisements(one per person)

Requirements:

Each article requires one direct quote and indirect quote (paraphrasing).

Works Cited page correctly formatted.

Newpaper printed on 11x17 paper for class distribution.

This is a team project- each member must actively participate in the project.

We are using Google Drive.

You must proofread and edit your work and someone else's work.
