The following packing instructions should answer most of your questions regarding the move to our new offices. Please read the instructions completely before starting to pack.

PACKING

Each employee is responsible for packing the contents of their own work area. The contents from all desk, credenzas, cabinets, bookcases and overheads should be removed, packed and labeled. Every item must be labeled. Remove every thing from the wall.

2 Drawer file cabinets: Remove and pack all files

Leave files in the cabinet

4 Drawer file cabinets: Remove and pack the top drawer

Leave files in the bottom two draws and pack the top two draws

Do not pack the following equipment: computers, printers, telephones, fax machines and postage machines, they will be transported on special carts.

COMPUTERS

Save all files and turn off your computer before leaving the office the day of the move.

Disconnect your peripherals from your computer and prepare it for the move by placing all of the cords, keyboard, mouse and related items in the clear electronic bags and labeling it.

Your computer will be prepared for the move for you.

LABELING: Every item, no matter how small, must be labeled with the appropriate numbered label prior to the move. Labels will be distributed prior to the move. If not already done, write your label/floor plan number on each label. See the move plan to locate your label/floor plan number if necessary. Place the numbered label on every item were it can be easily seen by the movers.
