OFFICER INSTALLATION CEREMONY
Will the following officers-elect please come forward and stand:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Officers of AACE you represent the true meaning of professional
engineering. You will be the voice of the National Association of County
Engineers, and our common bond with professional engineers throughout
the United States and Canada. We must be examples in which people may
have confidence in AACE for all matters.
Will the officers of the National Association of County Engineers raise your
right hand, and repeat the following pledge after me:
“As an officer of AACE, ------I (state your name) dedicate my
professional knowledge ------to the advancement ------and
betterment of the public welfare. ------I pledge to give ------
the utmost of performance, ------to participate ------in none
but honest enterprise. ------To live and work
according to ------the highest standards of professional
conduct. ------To place service before self, ------
the honor and standing ------of my profession
before personal advantage. ------I pledge to uphold
the constitution and bylaws of AACE. ------In all humility ----
------I make this pledge.”
Will the membership of the National Association of County
Engineers please stand. (wait) You have heard the pledge of our
officers. Unless they have your wholehearted support, they will
not be able to fulfill their pledge. Do you, therefore, promise to
support these, your officers, as they guide AACE through the
coming year? Will you encourage, advise and assist
them, and refrain from unjust criticism? If so-- answer, “I
WILL”. Let these mutual pledges be our commitments that the
National Association of County Engineers may be an increasingly
greater force for the well-being of all our citizens.
Will the officers please remain standing, the rest of the members
may be seated. I hereby install each of you through the
authority vested in me by President ______. Will everyone
join me in congratulating the new officers of the Arizona
Association of CountyEngineers .
I return the podium to ______in order to transfer
authority and responsibility for leadership to our new officers.
