AP Study Hall – Room 104

2014-15

Study Hall is a class that provides students a valuable opportunity to read, study, and complete assignments during the school day. The following guidelines are in place to ensure a quiet, productive classroom atmosphere and to provide each student the chance to utilize this period of time without disturbance from others.

Keep in mind that you elected to take a study hall because you needed the study time; therefore, this will be a study hall every day and not a social hour.

Class Rules and Expectations

1.Be seated and ready for class when the bell rings.

2.Bring supplies, books, assignments, student planner, etc. each day.

3.Use time in study hall wisely; stay busy.

4.Be respectful and courteous to one another and the teacher.

5.Report to assigned study hall each day. I will count tardies and take attendance.

6.If you need to go to the library or to a teacher to make-up work or tutoring during study hall, you must bring a pass from the appropriate subject-area teacher before you are allowed to leave study hall. (Your subject area teacher may choose to email your study hall teacher in lieu of issuing a pass.) You may NOT go to get the pass during study hall. If you abuse the privilege, you will lose the privilege.

7.All policies and procedures in the SCHS handbook apply in this classroom. Failure to follow policies will result in consequences.

8.No privileges for going outside the study-hall room will be given until you return the signature portion of this sheet.

Computer Lab Expectations

  • Students are expected to maintain a clean work environment, including cleaning his/her work station daily and pushing in his/her chair at the end of class.

  • Students are expected to use the computers and Internet for educational purposes only. NO GAMES ARE TO BE PLAYED ON THE COMPUTERS!!!
  • Students are expected to treat computers with respect.

*Students will not unhook cords or damage any computer.

*Students will not put foreign objects into any computer.

I understand that I elected to have this study hall and will use it to the best of my ability to advance my academic performance and ease the stress of a heavy class load. I also understand that if I fail to adhere to class policies and procedures there will be consequences.
