Midsummer Fiesta - terms and condition for pitch hire.
- Hirers must be on site by 10am.
- Vehicle access to the site will not be allowed after 11.30am. Designated drop off site will be available for restocking (bar and catering pitches only) during the day.
- Each Hirer will be allocated with one parking permit. No other vehicles (except catering or bar vehicles) will be allowed on site.
- Hirers are required to ensure all their staff and/or volunteers have the necessary experience and certificates for their respective stall e.g.food handling and hygiene certificates. All certificates required by law must be displayed on site.
- Hirers are not allowed to play music whilst on site
- Hirers (except for Bar Hirers authorised to sell alcohol) are not allowed to sell alcohol on site
- Hirers are responsible for:
- providing fire extinguisher for their pitch (bar and caterers only)
- keeping their pitches clean and tidy and picking litter during and after the event
- ensuring staff and/or volunteers comply with health and safety regulations
- providing sufficient clean water for their stall(bar and caterers only) -access to drinking water is available
- bringing their own electrical generator, if required.
- ensuring they and their staff or volunteers comply with the Council’s entertainments licence (details available on request).
- vacating the site by 10.30pm and ensuring the pitch area is left clean and tidy.
- Any electrical equipment bought onto site must have a current PAT sticker attached to it. The Council reserves the right to ask for any electrical equipment that does not have a current PAT sticker attached or it considers to be unsafeto be removed from site.
- The Council is not responsible for any property, vehicles or equipment bought on site, Hirer, their staff or volunteers bring property, vehicles or equipment on to site at their own risk and should ensure the safety for their property whilst on site.
- The Council reserves the right to refuse entry to or ask any person to leave the event.
- In the event of inclement weather, the Council may at it discretion implement the wet weather plan. Details of the plan are available on request or on If Hirers decide not to attend the event no refund will be payable.
- If due to unforeseen circumstances or severe bad weather, in the opinion of the Council, the event is cancelled, the Council will refund the Hirer’s pitch fee. The Council will not be liable for any costs or expenses incurred by the Hirer.
- If the Hirer cannot or fails to attend the event for any reason whatsoever the pitch fee is non refundable.
