Aim and justification of the qualification /module
The aim of this qualification is fulfilment of the needs of the labour market, and has support from groups of interest. Based on the specifications of the occupation, favourite candidates are of age 16 or older, young male and female who have completed the secondary education and persons who already have any occupation, but their occupation is not sought in the labour market, by not making any discrimination in national, gender basis and persons with disabilities. following completion of this course, the candidate may be promoted at the job, increase the opportunities for employment but they also have possibility to shift into other qualifications.
Students/candidates to enter in this qualification must be competent in (enrolling criteria):
Candidates must have completed the secondary low school (level 3), must be of age 16 or higher or must have at least some experience in this field.
Knowledge of previous lessons
Knowledge of previous lesson may allow for:
· Fast access to further learning in this level or higher level in NQF
· Earning credits towards modules in this qualification/module
· Taking this qualification/module entirely or partially.
It is being conducted in Regional Vocational Training Centres and it is regulated in compliance with Administrative Instruction issued by the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare

Structure of building of this qualification is module based, containing learning modules theory and practice oriented from the occupation competences of the 'Water and sewerage installer'.
What knowledge, practical skills and competences are assessed?
- prepare and maintain the work place and tools for installation of water and sewerage system;
- interpret schemes of water and sewerage system;
- draw simple sketches of water and sewerage system;
- use tools, equipment and instruments of work in installation of water and sewerage;
- select work materials for installation of water and sewerage system;
- carry out simple economic calculations for activities of water and sewerage installation;
- carry out measuring and quotation of water and sewerage installation;
- open channels and wholes of water and sewerage installation;
- prepare pipes for water and sewerage installation;
- make installation of internal water system;
- make installation of internal sewerage system;
- assemble hydro-sanitary equipment;
- make installation of external water system network
- assemble water pump on the network of water system of buildings;
- make installation of external network of sewerage system;
- apply the occupation standards;
- take care of working tools and equipment;
- apply rules of safety, hygiene and environment protection
Expected outcomes
In achieving this qualification the student/candidate shall be able to:
Describe types, use and features of consumable materials at work.
Explain construction, functioning and use of main working tools and equipment.
Explain manners of work place maintenance.
Explain construction and functioning of water system network.
Draw simple schemes of water installations.
Determine levels.
Opening channels.
Drilling holes.
Work on the galvanized pipes.
Working with plastic and aluminium-plastic pipes.
Working with copper pipes.
Carry out thermo-insulations of pipes.
Install network with galvanized pipes
Install network with plastic pipes with disposal
Install network with aluminium-plastic pipes
Install pipes of the water system
Prepares installation of the discharge network in water system
Install the water discharge system
Install hydro-sanitary elements.
Install hydro-sanitary elements into the supply system
Install hydro-sanitary elements into discharge system
Open channels for installation of external network of water system.
Lay pipes for installation of external network of water system
Join pipes for external water system
Close the gutter for the installation of external network of water system
Open channels for installation of external network of sewerage system.
Lay pipes for installation of external network of sewerage system

Interpret schemes of water pumps installation.
Install normal pumps for supplying buildings with water.
Install absorbing pumps for supplying buildings with water.
Assessment criteria
Assessment criteria are specified according to every expected outcome of each module, passing level is 75%.
