With reference to the above-mentioned tender procedure, please find below questions raised by potential tenderers and the corresponding answers

1 / In reply to your Clarification no.1, we kindly ask you to clarify us the following:
On the page 2, item no. 12, the Euro 3 Engine is the most suitable one for the Diesel used in Lebanon, and the engine Euro 4, 5 or 6 are acceptable? / The Euro 3 Engine is the most suitable for the Diesel used in Lebanon.
The Euro 4, 5 or 6 must be adjusted to be compliant with the Lebanese markets.
2 / On the page 2, item no.13, you cannot manufacture a fixed pickup body and then add a tipping mechanism to make it a tipper pickup, because the construction of each type of body is different from the other. It is preferably to manufacture the body with tipping system in order to facilitate emptying the waste. / The body must be manufactured with the required set up and mechanism in order to be completely ready to add a tipper in the future if required.
Only the tipper may be added later not the mechanism.
3 / We kindly ask you to clarify what documents are required in detail for registration since non local contractor shall be able to provide only the documents for customs clearance in Lebanon.
“Technical Specifications:
1.14.1 Successful tenderer must provide all necessary documents for registration.” / The necessary documents for registration are:
  • Invoice to the attention of the Ministry of Interior &Municipalities -Lebanon,
  • Packing list,
  • Certificate of origin,
  • Lebanese customs clearance certificate;
  • Import shipment certificate;
However, The Contracting Authority will provide the necessary documents to the customs authorities verifying that the Contract is exempted from VAT and Customs duties.

All other terms and conditions of the Tender dossier remain unchanged. The above alterations and/or corrections to the tender dossier are integral part of the Tender Dossier.
