Personal interests

I am passionate about languages and have sought to expand my linguistic ability by studying several in my spare time, such as Japanese, German and Swedish.

I am an ardent hill walker, both at home and abroad, and a big fan of cricket and football. For five seasons, I was a regular contributor to the Scunthorpe United matchday programme, during which time the programme was twice voted the best in the division. My writing has also been published in the national When Saturday Comes magazine.
