RULES

DEADLINE - FEB. 19, 2016

Alamance Public Schools

1.  Students in grades 3 – 12 who attend an Alamance County public, private, Christian or home school are eligible to enter.

2.  No entry is eligible if it has been published or won a first place award in any competition.

3.  Poetry requirements: (original or clear copies) ONE ENTRY PER STUDENT

32 lines maximum 11 or 12 size font Single space

8 ½ x 11 white paper Title at top of page NO name on entry

3” x 5” index card WITH: Title of poem, student’s name, address, phone number, school name, teacher and grade. Paper clip card to entry.

Keep copy for your records. Please follow instructions to ensure judging.

5  Entries MUST be mailed BY TEACHERS with a FEBRUARY 19, 2016 postmark.

6  Students and teachers will be notified by the end of March.

7  All winners will receive a certificate and trophy. First place winners will be asked to read their entry at the award ceremony on Sunday, April 9, 2016. Location TBA
