SENIOR CHECKLIST
1. College applications should be submitted even if you haven’t taken the ACT or SAT, just make sure you have the scores sent once you take the test(s). If you have not completed any college applications, please see your guidance counselor.
2. Sign up for the SAT or ACT if you have not already taken one of the tests AND plan to attend a 4 year college/university.
3. Sign up for the COMPASS test if you plan to attend a technical college. You can take the test at any technical college, then have your scores sent to the technical college you plan to attend.
4. See your guidance counselor or career specialist if you are not sure what you want to do next year or if you have any questions.

All 18 year old men are required to register with the Selective Service System. You can do this at the post office in just 5 minutes. All Federal Financial Aid and job training programs require registration prior to acceptance.
The FAFSA form opened October 1 and can be found at www.fafsa.gov. If you have not completed the form, you need to do so as soon as possible. You will need your parent(s) 2015 or 2016 tax information for the form. Even if you are eligible for financial aid, if the money has already been distributed, you won’t receive any monetary assistance. A good website for information on planning and paying for education is www.studentaid.ed.gov.
