"She's dead, wrapped in plastic." Laura Palmer's dead body is found. She is discovered missing and hunted for by her parents. But bad news travels fast...and painfully. / Bobby and Shelley are having a secret adulterous affair. Later at school, Bobby is called into the office for a chat with the law about the murder of Laura Palmer. He is arrested for that murder. / Everyone at school finds out that Laura is dead. School is canceled for the day. / At the Packard Saw Mill the rest of the workday is canceled. Owner Josie and manager Catherine have a power struggle, Josie wins, for now. / Another young woman, Ronette Pulaski, is also missing. Later that day she shows up half clothed, beaten, and in shock. / James Hurley tells his uncle Big Ed that Laura is dead and "she was the one" for him. Ed's crazy wife Nadine is screaming about her drape runners. / The F.B.I. is called into the case. Special Agent Dale Cooper comes to Twin Peaks to investigate.
