EQUINE.COM ADDS CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER AND MARKETING DIRECTOR
PHOENIX, Ariz. — (Dec. 2, 2004) Equine.com®, the World’s Largest Horse Marketplace, announced the promotion of Steve LeClair to the position of Chief Technical Officer and the hire of Samantha Morris as Marketing Director.
With rapid growth to a record 80,000 visitors per day in October and plans for double-digit growth, the leadership of Equine.com recognized the need for these key positions.
“We are excited about these changes in the Equine.com team. Both Steve and Samantha bring valuable experience and skills to their new roles within the company,” stated Aaron Bromagem, founder and President of Equine.com.
Steve LeClair will be responsible for technological advances needed to keep Equine.com at the top of the online horse industry. Steve brings 25 years of technical leadership experience to his position at Equine.com. Throughout his career, he has gained experience in all aspects of computer technology, including the development of Client/Server applications, Databases tuning and Internet technologies.
Prior to joining the team at Equine.com, Steve worked in technical consulting positions with large multinational firms like American Express and Allied Signal, and regional firms such as Phoenix Newspapers, SRP and Arizona Public Service.
Steve has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Arizona, and a Master of International Management degree from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management.
Before joining Equine.com, Samantha Morris served as Vice President of Strategic Marketing for the Arizona Division of Centex Homes. There, she gained valuable experience in identifying customer needs and wants, and translating that data into actionable items in the company’s business plan.
At Equine.com, Samantha’s responsibilities as Marketing Director will include all aspects of marketing, from research and strategy to management and execution. In addition to providing marketing support for the company’s existing products and services, Samantha will design and execute the promotional launch of several new ventures slated for 2005.
Samantha graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is also member of Phi Beta Kappa.
