Act out the story

Part 1: Write the Script

  1. As a group, create a script in Spanish that is based on the story that we read
  2. Write the script on a separate sheet of paper.
  3. Everyone should contribute and have their own copy.
  4. Each person should have equal speaking parts in Spanish.
  5. Things to include:
  6. Information about each character: name, background information, description
  7. Have characters interact with each other (use dialogue)
  8. Create a problem between the characters
  9. Resolve the problem in some way (it can be a happy, sad, etc. resolution)

Part 2: Act it Out

  1. Everyone must participate equally
  2. Everyone needs to speak in Spanish ONLY
  3. Actors need to act out what is being said and take the skit seriously

Written Skit: Main character information / Includes information about the main character (name, background information, description) / Missing one detail about the main character / Missing two or more details about the main character
Written Skit: Problem / The skit includes a clear problem / The problem is confusing or vague. / The skit does not include a problem
Written Skit: Solving the Problem / Clearly explains and describes how the problem was solved. The problem was solved in several steps. / The resolution is vague and only includes two or three details. / There is no clear resolution or the resolution is not explained.
Acting: Speaking / Everyone spoke an equal amount in Spanish. No English used during the entire skit. / Everyone spoke equally in Spanish. Some English / Some people spoke in Spanish, but there was more English than Spanish.
Acting: Participation / Everyone fully participated. Took the skit seriously and it was easy to understand / Somewhat took the skit seriously. Somewhat difficult to understand / Did not take the skit seriously and was very difficult to understand
